Thread is a concept CD which has an eclectic mix of jazz, smooth jazz, pop jazz, and classical jazz. The idea behind Thread is the connection that we have to all living things.
Leon Salem is a film composer/jazz arranger who has created a combination of Sinatra cover songs as well as original music that runs the gamut from jazz to smooth jazz, to R and B, World, Latin, and everything else in between for the album "Stand Up Triple."
Also on the album are a stellar combination of singers and musicians:
Legendary jazz pianist Kenny Drew Jr., Trumpeter extraordinaire Steve Jankowski of BS&T fame, in demand alto saxophonist Tommy LaBella, the versatile and extremely gifted vocalist Nate Jacobs, and the dreamy, sensitive vocal style of Jennifer Leigh, who creates a whole new take on some standard Sinatra chestnuts, one of which includes the multi-talented vocals of singer-songwriter-producer Terry "T-Bone" Rhodes.
